HONESIS PT. II

In 2016 I mastered in Graphic Design with the project titled Honesis Pt. II. In this audiovisual installation I used a few formalisms from the science fiction film to create abstract user interfaces and soundscapes for a fictitious spacecraft. Each visual and soundtrack having its own properties and generative animation between specific parameters, making that the installation wouldn’t ever be experienced in the same way.

By using sharp pixels and pure RGB-values I generated a link to the primary quality of the display-screen or image projection. In order to stay away from video and audio compression I used an environment called Unity that allowed me to visualize 3D artwork dynamically together with variable camera movement, shifting soundtrack and generative animation – creating an endlessly different experience.

The soundtracks was produced through cutting, overlapping and editing a few sessions improvised knob-twiddling. Microphone recording, digital synthesis, granular treatments, frequency-shifting and various mixing techniques were all part of my arsenal.
